The Lab was never meant to be just another print shop. It started with a simple belief: every community deserves a place where ideas can take shape.

 

After more than 20 years managing projects, events, memberships, and communications for organizations across Colorado, I traded the Front Range for Cedaredge and discovered something unexpected. Small towns are filled with incredible people doing meaningful work, but they often lack easy access to creative resources, design support, quality printing, and someone who can help connect all the pieces.

 

So I built the place I wished existed.

 

Today, The Lab is a Copy + Print + Promo + Creative Studio serving the Surface Creek Valley and surrounding communities. We help businesses, nonprofits, artists, event organizers, and community leaders turn ideas into reality through graphic design, printing, promotional products, websites, marketing materials, and creative problem-solving.

 

Need 500 brochures? We can do that.

 

Need a festival guide, a fundraiser campaign, branded merchandise, or a logo refresh? We'd love to help.

 

Need someone to listen to an idea over coffee and help you figure out the next step? That's part of the job, too.

 

More Than Printing

 

The best projects don't start on a computer. They start with conversations.

The Lab has become a gathering place where people brainstorm, collaborate, learn new skills, and discover unexpected partnerships. We host community conversations, creative workshops, tech help for seniors, and events designed to strengthen connections across generations and sectors.

 

I'm also proud to serve as a Founding Member of the Welcome Committee with the U.S. Chamber of Connection, where we're exploring new ways communities can intentionally cultivate belonging. That work has inspired local initiatives like the Surface Creek Connection Council, focused on strengthening social connection right here at home.
